CID Reading Group: Comparative Political Economy of Inequality
CID is proud to host a student reading group for those interested in the broad topic of “(Comparative) Political Economy of Inequality,” which is preliminarily defined by the group as “the political root and consequences of social stratification, mobility, and inequality,” from a national or subnational comparative perspective. The topic is at the intersection of social inequality and political sociology.
Most readings are drawn from two course syllabi – Remington’s Politics of Economic Inequality and Hall & Thelen Varieties of Capitalism and Social Inequality, both offered in Fall 2020.
Readings are decided week by week, all readings are provided, and you do not have to attend every session. If you are interested in joining the group or attending a session or two, please email Junchao at email@example.com.
